Without fail, every single time I look at this website I cry. Marissa, you and your family are such an inspiration and role models for what love and family is all about. The love you share has affected so many people in such a positive way. God only gives us what we can handle and you have proven time and again what a strong person you are. Your entire family for that fact. Avery is a miracle child brought into this world to teach people the true mean of unconditional love. She is the blessing I am thankful I have received. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives and for blessing me and my family! My only regret is that I didn't have the opportunity to have you all in my life sooner! God has already blessed you so much and I pray he continue's doing so!

Avery, My name is Teri but i spell it (Tari). I just finished looking and reading your website. You look so cute and happy in your pictures. I do know what you and your family are going through. I went into heart failer at the age of five, and when I turned ten I was put on peritonel dialysis. I had so many peritonel catheter put in due to peritonitus, catheters falling out, and my body just too small to hold catheters into place. At the age of ten years old I was weighing 75 pounds. But I was only on peritoneal dialysis for six monthes before I recieved my first kidney transplant at the age of 11. I was told that Dr. Kalia started seeing me at age 5. But I am not really sure what age I started to see him. At the age of 19 I changed over to the adult doctors do to some medications that I had to take. I know that Dr.Kalia is retireing and Dr. Azam is taking over. I have not met him though. Lee Ann, Jeneane, and Jeannie are very special nurses we all go way back. The transplant doctor and I have also known each other for a long time. Dr. kris started to take care of me when I was in junior high. I call the transplant doctor by her first name because her last name is too heard to say, and kris is just a short name of her first name. She is the one who fixes my dialysis site and she will also be doing my transplant when it is time. I know that Dr. Kalia has retired or he is going to, and Dr. Azam will be taking over. Dr. Kalia will be missed very much. I have not met Dr. Azam yet. I am now 31 years old and on hemodialysis every so often I have to have surgery to fix the site where I do my hemo at. When I go to UTMB to see my heart doctor I stop by to say high to the dialysis nurses. Well I could go on about the doctors and nurses at UTMB on how great they are, but you would get tired. i hope things get better for you and yes, god is watching over you. Love Tari cowgirlbunny2004@yahoo.com
